What is the Whoop Strap 3.0?

The Whoop Strap 3.0 is a fitness tracker for athletes wanting to optimize their performance on race day. I’ve had it for a few weeks now, using it to see how much the Tour Des Fleurs Quarter Marathon abused my body as well as daily training strain. Now I’m checking in on the data gathered from the Whoop Strap during the Wild Cat Enduro. We’ve always thought racing dirt bikes was tough on the body, let’s see if we now have proof.

Wild Cat Enduro

The Wild Cat Enduro is a TSCEC event that was held at the Hidden Falls Adventure Park outside of Marble Falls, TX. The park looks to be a great place to take the family for a long weekend. I think renting a jeep and taking the kids around would be really fun for them. It would also give me a chance to get some seat time in when they need a break from the four wheeled shenanigans.

The enduro was a fun race. Though there was less single track than most of us like, the rocky, technical sections were challenging, especially when riders were scattered across obstacles. Hopefully they have some time to cut more single track so the 2020 event has more miles, more tests and more challenges.

Analyzing the Whoop Strap data was interesting for me, I have never tried to study my performance from an event to this degree before. Most of the time it comes in as bench racing with fellow riders, not sitting down at a computer to see how my body performed. If you want to have the ability to analyze how your body performed while racing your dirt bike, the Whoop Strap is the way to do that. For those wondering, I did not wear the Whoop Strap on my wrist. I used the Whoop Impact Sleeve on my left arm to protect the device and keep it further up the arm.

Thanks for watching!
