Papa Pierce recently purchased a KTM 690 Enduro from Adventure Moto in McKinney, Texas. He quickly loaded it up and road the bike at the 2015 KTM Adventure Rally in Crested Butte, CO. He picked up a few accessories and made a few adjustments. Hear his thoughts on the bike, coming from a KTM 990, what’s he’s going to change and what he likes.
What do you think? Information worth hearing? Should we review more items or bikes? If so, what would like us to look into next?
Our 2015 YZ 250FX vs 2015 KTM 250XC video has done really well. Check it out if you haven’t seen it yet.

As a smaller guy (5'7" 155 pounds) the 690 cockpit might be a touch large for me. I bought a Corbin seat to lower it but found that it was extremely uncomfortable. I also cranked the suspension compression way down for riding in Colorado. It adjusted perfectly and have been very happy since. I did find that an aluminum skid plate was necessary but I was riding where nothing bigger than an exc 500 should have been. I was riding it like a true dirt bike. The enduro/GNCC racer came out in me. Don't know what issue he's talking about with the filler cap as I have almost 17k miles on mine and never had an issue. Riding the dirt roads and very slow right cornered pavement roads is a blast on this thing too. My girlfriend who is also very small fits perfectly on the back. We can be found very frequently in the southern Virginia and eastern Tennessee region on pavement and dirt roads. Love this bike! Wouldn't ever trade it except to get a brand new one!
