The 2016 Kenda Tennessee Knockout Extreme Enduro saw Cody Webb clinch his 4th win in a row. Graham Jarvis was scheduled to make a racing appearance, but diplomatic conflicts caused him to be a spectator. Wade Young, the South African Red Bull/Sherco rider, was the loan Extreme Enduro outsider this year to make the journey to the TKO Enduro. He faired extremely well, placing second behind Cody Webb.

The 2016 Kenda Tennessee Knockout Extreme Enduro saw Cody Webb clinch his 4th win in a row. Wade Young, the South African Red Bull/Sherco rider, was the loan Extreme Enduro outsider this year to make the journey to the TKO Enduro. He faired extremely well, placing second behind Cody Webb.

In 2015, we saw a small Red Bull contingency filming and taking pictures. For 2016, the media that came with Red Bull’s presence almost outshone the number of racers. Come November, we’ll be watching the Kenda Tennessee Knockout on Red Bull TV. Huge for our small, fun, American Extreme Enduro.

Colton Haaker was one of the loan competitors on a four stroke. Our own Woody rode his 350XC on Saturday, wishing all day he had a 300XC in the slick and nasty terrain. Haaker is a much better rider though, so we’ll let it slide.

Chris and Casey Satterfield came over from Hawaii. They worked with KR4 Performance to make sure they had equipment that would get them as far as their talent would take them. They went VERY far!

TKO proved to be one of the most enduring extreme enduros once again. I had a slow start and struggled on my hot lap. My first knockout ride was going well until I broke a chain. I was able to get back to the truck, fix my chain, and finish the race in 19th. I had a strong ride in TKO 2 with a 5th overall which qualified me for the main event. The main event on the short course was brutal, my 300RR chugged me up the slippery hills and creek bottoms. I rode strong and ended up 7th in the main. I was really wanting a podium, but a few mistakes costed me a lot of time and energy. All in all it was a great race and I can’t wait to race the first round of Endurocross this weekend!

The TKO was the hardest most physically demanding race I have ever done. Endless rocks, steep hills, and down pours made for an interesting day. The technical terrain at the TTC is one of a kind and I enjoyed every minute of it, except when I was pushing my bike. Already looking forward to next year.

Watch our TKO Enduro RAW Videos

The 2016 TKO Enduro was a lot tougher for us amateurs. The opposite direction and the added moisture really separated the men from the boys. I look forward to getting my sh!t together and coming back to try and do better in 2017.
