This past Saturday, the Barnwell Mountain Dirt Riders held a new format event they called the Sprint Enduro Challenge. I wasn’t able to ride the event, since I was taking pictures and capturing video, but even from behind the lens I had a fantastic time watching the riders attack the course.

Some of the captured pixels you see here are just a sampling of the fine riding the racers displayed. As mentioned in the press release, Cole Kirkpatrick won the first test and Haydn Franklin won the second and third tests. With the short, diverse sections, all riders showcased their ability to adapt to varying terrain.

Most racers, including myself, hope to see this this type of format at more Enduro’s in the coming future. The challenging, short tests allow for a quick event and the closeness of the sections to camp gave spectators easy access to the gnarly sections. Thanks to BMDR for putting on the event.
