Dakar Rally American Racers Ian Blythe and Ricky Brabec just returned from racing the 2016 Dakar. They both had different experiences and both had their separate stories to tell. 

Ian Blythe was on the Rally Pan Am team, racing with team mate Scott Bright. Ian learned a lot, knowing now that the prologue is much more important than he though it be. He comments on bike setup, navigating and a few tricks of the trade.

Ricky Brabec was on a factory team, HRC, for his Dakar experience. With RV’s, daily factory service and many experienced veterans to learn from, Brabec secured a well earned ninth place.

Smashing through dunes on the rally bike is for sure tiring but I’m super glad to have finished this day! 3 more days, let’s go!!
