After completing the Baja Rally on the 1986 Suzuki SP, Woody knew he had to do more vintage racing. Pulling his dad’s 1981 CanAm Qualifier 400 out of storage, he showed up at the last round of the Texas Cross Country Racing Association Series in Denton, TX to see how he and the machine would hold up.

Making it to the line on a vintage bike is celebrated as win itself. Though Woody got to the line, it was 5 minutes after every other line had taken off. James Hill gave the carburetor some needed love taps with a well placed stick to help unstick the float. After that, it was off to the races.

It was a great time, there will certainly more vintage races in the future.
