With the GNCC’s coming back from another small break at Powerline Park and the Endurocross Series picking up in Denver, Colorado, there was a lot of racing and moto news up for discussion. Brian Elliot, from Alliance Offroad, was kind enough to be my guest for this week’s episode. We even did it live using uStream. And to top it all off, we did it twice. Once on Tuesday live, not realizing that it didn’t archive the broadcast. So we did it again for you all last night to make sure the awesomeness will be around till someone kicks us off the Internet.
Kailub Russell and Charlie Mullins had great performances in Ohio. Paul Whibley finally had a bad race this season, but still finished on the podium. Russell has cut the points lead down to four, insuring a down to the wire Championship battle at Loretta Lynn’s. In the XC2 class, Jason Thomas got a win in Ohio aboard his privateer KTM. Aaron Plessinger and Chris Douglas moved up from the A class to the XC2 line, hoping to make a name for themselves. They both rode great races, but Plessinger won out by finishing second in his first XC2 appearance. Andrew Delong finished third to round out the podium.
In Denver, the Endurocross Series picked back up and got the racing underway. Taddy Blazusiak seemes to be back on it, as he won the main with very little trouble. Taylor Robert rode super consistent, taking advantage of mistakes by Mike Brown and Geoff Aaron, to finish second. Mike Brown did hold off Geoff Aaron though to finish in third place. Blazusiak has strengthened his points lead, while Robert moves two points up on Brown.
The J Day Offroad Series is a big hit in the North East. If you have not seen the videos, go check them out. They will make you want to make the drive and attack the tracks. Coming up is a Hare and Hound in California. Can Kurt Caselli make up some points to get closer to another title? Or will David Pearson hold him off? Gonna be awesome racing this weekend!
See you guys next week for Episode 62 with a new guest. Don’t know who yet, but I’m sure it’ll rock. Look for new interviews as well in the coming weeks. Have fun, be safe and remember to always enjoy a Pint Full of Awesome!
