My son and I trekked from North Texas to Huntsville so he could attend Aviation Challenge at Space Camp. We had a good time traveling across the southern states together, taking the time to smell the roses. Once he was settled, I headed south from Huntsville to Birmingham to meet up with a friend I met last year traveling the National Enduro Series.

I wish I could tell you where we rode, but I have no idea. I was told to meet him at a gas station and then I followed him to where we unloaded. Now that I type that, it’s a good thing I didn’t wind up dead in a ditch somewhere, haha!

As the story goes, Lee has been riding in this area since the 80’s. He said a lot of the trails are the same as when he rode them at a younger age. That’s some pretty cool history for him, as well as his sons that have also ridden there over the years.

We were riding in the late afternoon, and the heat did it’s number on us. We rode for a few hours, and loaded up as the sun was setting. This was an epic dirt bike road trip experience that I wish I could make happen more often.

Alabama Single Track is Technical

For those who don’t know, I grew up racing the SERA Series with my dad Stephen Pierce. I have ridden and raced at a few different Alabama properties from the 80’s and 90’s (until college of course). I always thought Maplesville and Clanton were the harder enduros on the circuit. We were based out of New Orleans, so we had zero elevation or rocks to ride and practice on.

Now that I got a taste of some of the fun trails the Alabama riders get to practice on, I understand why they were, and still are, so good in the tighter, more technical terrain. Now a days in North Texas we have some technical riding, but the elevation and the twisty nature of these trails is something special. Don’t take it for granted y’all!

Ryan Sipes and Cairo, GA

After a few hours of work online I rolled south to Cairo, GA to meet up with Ryan Sipes. We did some riding and we did some training. I’ll have some footage from that out after I get home, some time next week; be on the look out!

Enjoy Getting Seat Time

Don’t take the time we have for granted. Find a riding buddy, get on the bike, and make some memories. I’m very thankful for the time I have been given this week.

Utility Can Caddy

I also wanted to drop a reminder that the Utility Can Caddy is on ebay now for purchase. The Seat Time Shop was shut down late last year due to not selling enough to make it worth it. I still have 200+ UCC’s though, and I would prefer they go to riders and racers who want to get themselves organized.

I’m Writing a Book

Reminder that I am posting chapters from my book on my personal Substack. Feel free to give the Intro and/or Chapter One a gander.
