Round 6 of the Kenda/SRT AMA National Hare and Hound Championship was in Red Mountain, California. The event was put on by the Jackrabbits Motorcycle club and just so happened to be their first National event. They put together a 4 loop format that had all classes riding more miles than they’re traditionally used to. Bring Back Endurance!

JCR Honda’s Ricky Brabec overcame a destroyed bib mousse on loop three to finish seven minutes ahead of Rockstar Husqvarna’s Jacob Argubright. Though Brabec missed the previous round due to Rally racing, he still has a 17 point lead over Argubright in the point standings.

Third on the day was FMF/KTM’s Ivan Ramierz. Ramierz inherited third position from Nick Burson after a second loop crash resulting in a few bruises and a cracked case. Fourth on the day was Ryan Smith aboard his Ricks Custom Shutters backed YZ 450 FX. Rounding out the top five was FMF/KTM’s Gary Sutherlin.

Last round of the Kenda/SRT AMA National Hare and Hound Championship Series will be Oct 22nd and 23rd in Lucerne Valley at the Johnson Valley OHV park. Have fun, ride your bike and braaap on.
